Learning &  Healing Group for People impacted by  LGATs, High Control Groups & Relationships

We are offering group sessions with well known expert Rachel Bernstein. If you are someone who participated in a Large Group Awareness Training (LGAT) or organization OR participated in other high control groups or relationships and feel you were negatively impacted, this group is meant for you.

The group would be useful for you if you are grappling with questions like…

  • Was I really in a high-control group? Why did I stay involved SO long?
  • How exactly was this group exploiting my time, talents or finances?
  • Am I weak for falling for it or staying in?
  • How do I make sure I don’t do it again?
  • Who am I outside of the group? How do I rebuild my identity and my life? What about my reputation?
  • Can I ever trust myself, other people or groups again?
  • How can I learn to think more critically?
  • How do I reconnect with my family and friends and/or find a new community?
  • How do I build healthy relationships? (aka ones that don’t take advantage of me or my desire to do good)
  • How do I socialize with my friends that are still in the group?
  • What do I say to the group leadership if they try to contact me?
  • How do I relate to the world outside that community?
  • Can I ever trust leaders in general?
  • How do I deal with the negativity in the world?

In the group discussions, you will learn about the unique dynamics, manipulation tactics, and common psychological effects of being involved in high-control environments or relationships.

Rachel, who is a licensed therapist, an educator about cult-like and high-control groups and host of the popular podcast IndoctriNATION, facilitates the group. It is a compassionate and supportive space where people can ask questions and get answers, recover, heal, grow and reclaim their autonomy.

Come to feel understood, validated, and supported in your healing and recovery journey.
